The Chalice of Her Blood

The Chalice of Her Blood tells the story of an Indian woman who is originally from the southern Indian State of Kerala. She joins a Franciscan diocesan Congregation in the State of Punjab in North India.  The novel traces her childhood in Kerala and her religious life as a nun in Punjab and Rome. The story revolves around the pomp, authoritarianism and emotional manipulations withing the Church. Set in the dual context of a family saga and the religious life, it is a story recounted by a Catholic nun. The novel depicts the story of an Indian Catholic nun, narrating her tryst with faith. Inspired by a real-life story, the novel revolves round exploitation, abuse and sexual misconduct within the church. The story culminates in the arrest of a Catholic bishop who accuses her fellow nun of raping her multiple times.

I love to tell those stories that the religions, societies and the immigrations deliberately concealed or coloured often citing/justifying political correctness.
