About

From Vision to Reality : The Babu Abraham Story

Babu Abraham is born in the southern Indian state of Kerala and lives in France since 1998. I had a difficult childhood in a remote village.  I also spent a couple of years in an orphanage. I completed my schooling in Kerala and did my Pre-University from Mahatma Gandhi University. Before moving to France, I pursued my undergraduate degree in English Literature from Kerala and a Master’s Degree in Applied Psychology from New Delhi. In France I obtained a Master’s Degree in French, MPhil in Sociology and a PhD in Management. Currently I pursue another PhD in Sociology from the University of Paris.

I started my academic career as lecturer in Economic Psychology at Université de Reims. Subsequently I worked as a Senior Assistant Professor in a Business School within the Catholic University of Lille. I also worked as Associate Professor of Management at Brest Business School, ISC School of Management Paris and SKEMA Business School.

After twenty years of academic career in France, I decided to pursue my childhood passion – literature and writing. I write in English, French and Malayalam. I love to write about my childhood in India as an underprivileged in a collectivist patriarchal society. My first book is a memoir with thirty-six selected stories from my childhood in India. The book was first written in Malayalam and is accepted for publication by a leading Indian publisher. The book is coming out in April 2025. Currently I write a weekly autobiographical column every Wednesday on Mathrubhumi online, one of the top Indian newspapers. It is my complete autobiography. This autobiography is expected to be published in Malayalam, English and French in the later quarter of 2025.

I also write novels and short stories in English, Malayalam and French. Whatever I write is inspired from my own experiences or by the true stories of others. My stories and novels are multicultural, exotic and confessional. I’m passionate about writing on social and cultural taboos. I love to tell those stories that the religions, societies and the immigrations deliberately concealed or coloured often citing/justifying political correctness.
